Students – Great job on the first week of school. We have the whole show set!! Now time to clean.

Reminders for this week:

- All unpaid dues need to be paid
- The signed class syllabus was due on Friday
- Coordinate Sheet rough draft is Due this wednesday September 1

Monday 1st block – Inside (Music)
Tuesday 1st block – outside
Tuesday – 3:30-5:30 – Colorguard Sectional
Tuesday – FULL BAND After School rehearsal 5:30-8pm
Wednesday – 1st block – outside (Coordinate sheet rough draft due)
Thursday – 1st block – outside
Friday – 1st block – outside

Updated practice schedule
- I have added two additional afters school rehearsals:

Hello RCHS Band Parents and Students!

It’s a new year and we have a new website! You will still be able to find all of the information you need about upcoming events, fundraisers, practices and photos and videos of our performances.

I am very excited to begin the school year with our new Assistant Director and Director of Bands at the Elementary School, Mr. Ian Richard. Mr. Richard comes to Rappahannock with a wealth of musical knowledge and experience, and we are very excited to have him!

We had a very successful band camp this year as you could tell from our parent preview performance last week. Our field show this year, “Magic Carpet Ride” is a challenge and will keep us busy through the end of October. Thank you again to all of the parents who volunteered their time to assist us with water, snacks, sick kids and whatever else we needed during band camp – we could not have done it without you.

Finally, if you are able, please consider helping Theresa Caporuscio clean out the band storage closet on Tuesday, Aug. 24 (first day of school). It served as a closet, sewing room, colorguard locker and snack holding area for two weeks and could use a little TLC

I hope you all are excited to begin the school year. The staff and I are ready for another great season with the Rapp Band!
